Public Housing- Quarry Heights

The Portland Housing Authority (PHA) owns and operates 118 Public Housing units within the town limits, providing subsidized housing to eligible elderly and young disabled individuals and families. Quarry Heights our elderly and young disabled site consist of 70 units, located at 208 Main St., Portland, CT 06480.  You must be 62 years of age or disabled to qualify for this site. Rents range from $450 to $500 per month. This property has one bedroom’s apartments and handicap accessible units. It offers a laundry room, appliances in every unit, off street parking, air conditioning in every unit, remodeled community room and 24-hour maintenance. Heat and hot water are included in the rent. Residents pay for electricity.

Not only does the Portland Housing Authority providing housing to our residents but also the opportunity for self-sufficiency through our Resident Services Department.  This department works closely to provide our elderly and young disabled tenants with the resources and tools needed to become self-sufficient.
